Who is Athena Cosmetics?
Athena Cosmetics is a market leader in developing advanced lash, brow, and hair beautification products through its RevitaLash® brand. Founded in 2006 by ophthalmologist Michael Brinkenhoff, M.D., our priority is supporting the improved health of eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair, with multiple lines of products and tools designed to help everyone look and feel their best.

Athena Cosmetics owns RevitaLash® Cosmetics. We are passionate about our RevitaLash® products, and believe they speak for themselves, which is why the brand has earned its trust and recognition with consumers over the years.
What does Athena Cosmetics offer?
Our journey began with the creation of our own original lash conditioner, and since then we have evolved our product lines to promote healthier eyebrows and scalp hair. We have developed our own signature lash and brow serums, skincare, makeup, haircare, and beauty tools to ensure that anyone, anywhere can benefit from more beautiful, cared for hair.
What is Athena Cosmetics’ global footprint?
We are pleased that our brow and lash solutions are available to many customers in over 70 countries worldwide. Athena Cosmetics’ headquarters are located in the U.S. in the state of California and our international operations are run from our London office. Elsewhere, we work with trusted partners to distribute and service our customers across North and South America, Europe and Asia.

How do Athena Cosmetics' products differ from other products on the market?
We are proud to be market leaders, driven by our ophthalmologist-developed products. Our lash conditioners are 100% cruelty-free and do not undergo any animal testing, and do not use animal-derived ingredients or animal byproducts, making them vegan-friendly. They are also paraben-free and complemented by our pioneered technology to help lashes look their best. They are enhanced by our patented BioPeptin Complex®, which uses peptides, biotin, lipids, and green tea extract to condition, strengthen, and soften eyelashes while also protecting them from breakage and brittleness.
What does RevitaLash® Advanced actually do?
RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner was developed by our founder, a practicing ophthalmologist, to address the visible signs of eyelash aging due to chemical and environmental stressors. When applied daily, RevitaLash® Advanced makes lashes appear healthier and more luxurious. Our patented BioPeptin Complex® further strengthens and softens lashes, protecting them from breakage and brittleness. Users may also experience an improvement to the curl of their lashes, thanks to our patented Curl Effect® technology.
What kinds of ingredients are in the RevitaLash® Cosmetics product line?
Our products are made with nourishing ingredients designed to revitalize lashes, brows, and scalp hair, and are backed by science. We rely on plant extracts like ginseng and Swertia japonica to help protect lashes, saw palmetto which is high in fatty acids and plant sterols to condition and add shine, as well as our trademark BioPeptin Complex® that includes peptides, biotin, lipids, and green tea extract to help strengthen, condition, and soften hair.

PRODUCT SAFETY & USE
Are Athena Cosmetics' products safe for their intended use?
Yes, all of Athena Cosmetic’s products are safe when used according to label instructions. Safety is our top priority by independent research laboratories and go above-and-beyond industry standards.
Do Athena Cosmetics' eye products contain PGAs? How do I know these are safe?
Five of our cosmetic products contain an ingredient that is a prostaglandin analogue (PGA). Athena Cosmetics has demonstrated the safety of these products through comprehensive, objective testing, on top of the testing already done at a wider industry level.
Athena Cosmetics has made sure that when its lash conditioners are applied to lashes as directed, that they stay where they are placed and do not come into contact with the eye or the fluid of the eye. We even add a thickener to our lash conditioners to ensure that the product stays put.
Does Athena Cosmetics test its products on animals?
All of our products are 100% cruelty-free, meaning we do not undergo any animal testing at any stage of our product development. We also don't use animal-derived ingredients or any animal byproducts.
What does Athena Cosmetics do to ensure its products meet international regulatory standards?
Athena Cosmetics complies with all rules, regulations, and standards in the various jurisdictions where our products are sold – even at times going above and beyond regulatory requirements to ensure the safety and viability of our products.

What approach does Athena use when developing new formulations of products?
We work with top chemists in the cosmetics industry to ensure excellence in new product development and guide responsible formulation through safe and responsible ingredients. Throughout design and development, our products are then reviewed by experts such as dermatologists and/or ophthalmologists, and then tested through third-party research to guarantee they meet Athena’s high standards of safety and an excellent consumer experience.
